AYiERA iNiTiATiVE in Kenyan television KTN

KTN News is a leading 24-hour TV channel in Eastern Africa. Last Friday (17 August, 2018) AYiERA iNiTiATiVE was given the opportunity to talk about Korogocho slum, the current situation there and – most importantly – about their success stories as a Community Based Organisation.

Although for some of our international audience Swaheli might be an unknown language: the performance of the CEO and founder of AYiERA iNiTiATiVE, Hamilton Ayiera, this was a great day. For the first time he and two of the beneficiaries of his Community Based Organisation werde invited to a talk show.

On his side in the long interview: Ernest Omondi as well as Rziziki Kagika. All three of them made clear that many children and young adults would not have been reached their level until now without the support of AYiERA iNiTiATiVE.

Your are cordially invited to watch the whole interview on our website. Feel free to send us your questions, remarks and ideas.

Thank you.

AYiERA iNiTiATiVE is a Community Based Organisation (CBO). It was established with the main aim of positively transforming poor communities (Korogocho slum and its environs) and to improve the lives of the less privileged children and youths of Korogocho slum by using sports specifically slum footie – a small football game initiated by Ayiera Initiative, as a tool to achieve the above mentioned aims; sport in this case being used as catalyst for positive social change and development. The organization also empowers disadvantaged children of Korogocho slum and its environs by engaging them in academic, sports and art programs and activities.
